"Fattoria La Ripa Chianti Classico is a blend of Sangiovese 90%, Canaiolo 10% and it is produced using selected handpicked vineyards of the property situated at approx. 400m asl. These vineyards are planted on poor, stony soil of galestro and alberese stone with a carbonates in excess of 40%, naturally limiting the quantity to the advantage of the quality of the production have a density of roughly 5000 plants per hectare.
Chianti Traditional Wine Production method is used, with tumultuous fermentation accompanied by “délestages” and traditional “Governo” and malo-lactic fermentation.
The ageing process takes place in oak casks then in the bottle for maturation and refinement.
The beauty and delicacy of this Chianti Classico is really there to be beheld. It opens with rose petals, lilacs, orange peel, citrus and spices.
On the medium-bodied palate, everything is played in a very elegant style with subtle red berries, permeating throughout. Nevertheless, there’s some
serious tannin structure and depth and a medium-chewy finish. From organically grown grapes.
