Fattoria La Ripa "Santa Brigida" Igt Supertuscan Organic
Grape varieties blend:
Sangiovese 40%, Cabernet Sauvignon 30%, Merlot 30%

The Santa Brigida IGT Supertuscan Organic is produced exclusively from grapes from vineyards “La Volpaia” (Cabernet S. 30 years), “La Leccia” (Sangiovese, 35 years) and “La Mandria” (Merlot). They are situated at approx 400m. asl and exposed to the south on poor, stony, alkaline soil. The vines are pruned using the “archetto toscano"method. The average age of the vineyards and the caracteristics
of the soils on which they are planted naturally limits the quantity to the advantage of the quality of the production.
The vinification process is carried out separately for each variety; the tumultuous fermentation is realized at a controlled temperature (25º/30ºC).
Follows the malo-lactic fermentation.
The ageing process begins with maturation in oak barriques for about 12+6 months, followed by lengthy refinement in the bottle.

Organoleptic characteristics of the wine:
Colour: Vivid elegant deep red
Bouquet: Opens with cabernet style: with balsamic notes and blackcurrant, then the complexity of
the blend comes out with violet, cherry, raspberry, bluebarry and tobacco, gently oaky-coated;
Flavour: deep, soft tannins, well balanced in a firm and harmonious structure. Long finish.
